Brunch

Two big plates, take your pick.

Brunch is the main event: eggs done three ways, a proper Scottish breakfast, and a green-and-halloumi plate for the other side of the table.

A full Scottish breakfast on a speckled plate: tattie scone, haggis, a fried egg, a sausage, grilled tomato, mushrooms, bacon, brown toast and butter, with a pot of relish.

The coffee

Made with care, in ochre cups.

This is specialty coffee made with more care than the chains bother with. There's also a hot chocolate with marshmallows for the other half of the family.

Red Brick espresso from London's Square Mile roasters was the house espresso when they opened in 2023. Ask what's in the hopper now.

The room

Room to spread out, for once.

This is one of the roomier cafés in Stockbridge. Sleek timber frames run the length of it, with dried flowers and grasses along the walls. On warm days the whole front opens up.
